Simon Says

Laurel, Miah, Mom and I were all out on the deck, reading and goofing off, when Miah says she is bored, and wants to play a game. After much silly debate, Laurel sees an opportunity to get rid of her annoying little sister, and suggests Simon Says. After several goofy commands, Laurel sends Miah down to the yard to pick up 62 pine cones and throw them into the river. Much to my surprise, Miah runs down the steps, grabs her wagon, and starts picking up pine cones. As she throws them over the fence, she counts. Laurel, seeing more opportunity, says that since at least half the pine cones didn't make it into the river, she must now get 31 more. To clarify, Miah asks "Did you say 39?" Laughing, Mom says "Yes!"


Miah is now having the time of her life, picking up the pine cones I wanted her to help clear a couple of days ago (when she whined about the idea). I'm going back out to see when she will draw the line!
