Foggy Morning

I love fog. It cleans everything up, hides the muck and makes everything smell fresh. I couldn't see more than four feet ahead of me as I was driving the kids into school, which means I couldn't see the town as I approached, or the hundreds of annoying cars, or the huge highway that cuts the town in half.
When I came home, I grabbed my camera and headed for the back yard.  It smells like wet woods.  Moss, dirt, old leaves and cold fresh water.  It makes me want to grab a book and a blanket...and spend all day wrapped up and reading my book club book.  It's too bad I have too much to do today.

MIssouri Snow

The satellite wasn't working after it snowed, so this was Miah's genius solution.  She was so paranoid about knocking the dish out of alignment that it took her a good twenty minutes to sweep it off. Jay will point out that she is wearing his yellow sweater again.  It drives him nuts, but since he has been gone so much this year she has been wearing his undershirts, jackets, and bathrobe. Its adorable, but he complains.
