The recipe is pretty simple. Just vinegar, spices, the okra and asparagus we bought at the open market, and time. I used jars that I saved for just such an occasion, which is why they are different sizes and one is labeled "french onion".
The girls could only wait about twelve hours to crack one open, and that okra is so good!
I feel extra (modern) hippie today. Pickling, reusing old jars, and blogging about it. lol
