I just can't figure out why the heck this guy gets such an extravagant monument. I used to pass this every time I drove home to Edmonton. I always frowned at it, and pondered it's existence. It struck me as one of those nasty southern things, the old south still telling the north to kiss it's ass. Learning about history is one thing, but this history hardly deserves the third largest monument in the United States.
