Foggy Morning

I love fog. It cleans everything up, hides the muck and makes everything smell fresh. I couldn't see more than four feet ahead of me as I was driving the kids into school, which means I couldn't see the town as I approached, or the hundreds of annoying cars, or the huge highway that cuts the town in half. 
When I came home, I grabbed my camera and headed for the back yard.  It smells like wet woods.  Moss, dirt, old leaves and cold fresh water.  It makes me want to grab a book and a blanket...and spend all day wrapped up and reading my book club book.  It's too bad I have too much to do today.

"Looking up" (Jay's suggestion)

Easily the tallest trees I've seen.  It will give you vertigo to stand at the base of them and look straight up. The entire back yard looks like this when you stand in the center and look up.  It's awe inspiring.

How Fast the Trees Leaf!

In just two weeks the trees went from "budding" to "leafed out" as Miah put it. The trees are so thick with leaves we can no longer see the neighbors across the creek, and we feel tucked in and isolated again, just the way I like it!
