What Stacy and Jeremiah need...

OK, so Renee did this on her blog, and it looked like fun. I'm rolling on the floor here!

Stacy needs unconditional love from her boyfriend, Julian (HA!)
With a wand in one hand and a drink in the other, I could rule the world. (this just popped up, and I liked it)
Stacy Needs Support (lord yes!)
Stacy is a special case and needs an exceptionally loving home
Stacy Needs Our Prayers
Stacy…needs a soft pace to fall that day or she needs a shoulder to cry on. ...
I think Stacy needs to kick-up her voice, and work harder at it
Stacy needs to run around naked again (um, no comment)
stacy :) needs to sit and write Travis a letter
Stacy needs to either disrobe or go the f**k away (what's with the naked?)
Stacy needs sex, and she needs it fast (well, ya)
Stacy needs someone to smack her upside her head. Repeatedly. (hey hey hey)
Stacy needs no boob job (and thank you)
Stacy needs to turn 4 more or gain 96 more Vampire points to reach the next level

Jeremiah Needs OUT,ASAP!
Jeremiah needs your vote September 9th
Jeremiah needs your prayers and faith.
Jeremiah needs school more than the system needs him.
Jeremiah needs to give me all his gold.
Jeremiah needs an adoptive family who can understand his special needs and set firm, consistent limits.
Jeremiah needs to upgrade that p.o.s. truck for a sweet ride, cause I’m tired of looking at it;
"Jeremiah Wright needs for Obama to lose so he can justify his anger, his hostile bitterness against the United States of America,"
"Jeremiah Wright needs to be quiet,"
Jeremiah needs more money
Jeremiah needs lyrics to put together a new song
Jeremiah needs his mother and his family.
Jeremiah needs to answer his call.

"10 Years In The Making" My highschool reunion.

First of all, I have to say that my classmates really are awesome.

Ok, here's the story....

My daughter is named Laurel after a girl I knew in highschool. She was (still is) intelligent, hardworking, pretty, talented, and all in all a good, decent person. I named my daughter after her in hopes that somehow she could live up to that ideal. I tell you this, mostly so you won't get confused whan I say "Laurel" and I won't be talking about my Buggie Bear.

Laurel (the elder) along with a few other classmates were in charge of the reunion, and when they heard that Jay was deployed, they decided to ask everyone to donate something to send to Jay in a HUGE care package (at least three totally stuffed priority boxes. HOLY COW!) I honestly wasn't expecting a lot of people to care, but I was extremely surprised. I got to thank them at the time, but I want to say it again here....THANK YOU!!!

You all have no idea what it means to me that you cared so much, and when Jay sees the outporing of support he will feel the same way. I know that he would be embarrassed if he knew there was such a carrying on about him, but he'll get over it.

Anywho, I took Buggie (little Laurel) as my date. She is such a funny kiddo. She's 11 mind you, and when it was five after nine, she tugged on my sleeve and informed me that it was time to go home, b/c it's after her bedtime! So you know, the rule is that as long as she is in her room, she can go to sleep whenever she wants. She chooses to use this rule very wisely, and reads until she falls asleep. So, really she wanted to get to her books. I bribed her silence with the promise of a webkin, which I used to my advantage, and got her to dance with me. I was really not going to sit at the table and watch all the couples dance.

I don't want to do a play by play of the entire night, because I'll be here all day, but here are my best of highlights:

I won the Ms. Dick Clark award for not changing since highschool (they were more drunk than I thought)

Nate called me sweet-stuff, and I thought he was talking to Kim (thanks for the ego boost there, but, he was drunk....LMAO)

I won the award for being married to a classmate the longest (nine years)

I got to shut down the DJ for playing stuff you wouldn't believe!!!!! in front of (little) Laurel.

I got to dance with my baby girl.

And, best of all, my very favorite, I got to see my KIMMIE!!! again. My very bestest friend in school. The best person I have ever known, and doubt I'll meet better! Without her there, I would have left in half an hour, really! I felt really strange there without Jay, and without any of my bandmates...(Where were you guys??) and without Tanya. Gees, I was really looking forward to saying hi. It wouldn't have been highschool with out Tanya and me arguing with eachother! We did it so well, Shane had us do it in the school paper! Come on, lady you'd better be there in five years!

I had a great time....It was a little strange at first, but once I started talking to people, I got right back into it, even giggling my butt off with Kim, just like we used to. My only complaint is that I couldn't hear a darned thing over the music, and since I'm already partially deaf in both ears, I bet I answered some questions strangly, so if anybody didn't get me it's cause I didn't want to say "huh??" all night. I hate having to explain my deafness to people, cause they always think I'm joking...."I'm deaf in one ear, and can't hear out of the other!" For real!!

Oh, and I also want to say, Laurel, thanks for the hug. You got me to tear up a bit, but I will hold on to that hug forever.

Thanks Kim, for remembering (you know what) and it's because you are awesome!

Oh, and Kim. Two words (you'd better remember)

ALIEN SEX!!!!!!

Why I love Miah

1. My daughter's unique personality that requires her teachers to email me twice already. She tried to Kiss a boy at lunch!
2. Even though she needed to be rescued by a life guard at the pool, her only response was, " I almost drowned, so I'm going to that side (of the pool)". And she got right back into the water.
3. She has never had a problem analyzing a situation, and forming her own, usually very firm, opinion, and stating that opinion loudly.
4. Even though she had to have several cavities filled, in two different visits, that would make a grown man cry, she took it without a single complaint. The dentist was more upset than she was!
5. She and her sister had a contest at Sulphur Well to see who could hold the sulphur water in her mouth the longest, and when Miah could hold it no longer, she PRETENDED to spit hers out so Laurel would spit HERS out, so that Miah would get the stuff out of her mouth, but still win! LMAO
6. She does her math homework nearly perfectly, meanwhile singing under her voice the entire time, "I hate maaaath, maaath sucks...."
7. Miah was so upset that Jay was going back to Iraq, she asks the guardat the airport if a bomb to blow up Iraq were plastic, would the metal detectors see it?!?! (OMG, what a DAY!)
8. Also, because Jay went back, she asked on the way home..."can I get a BUSH piƱata so that every time I get mad I can beat the heck out of it?" (so, I made her one. She plans to get a marker and "...turn him into a girl"
9. She loves stephen colbert, mud, bugs, dead animals, the simpsons, making booby traps, lincoln logs, legos, hide and seek, hugs, barbies, webkins, rocks, painting, drawing, princesses, dress up, dogs, swimming, law and order, sponge bob, photography, spanish class, anything camoflague, camping, creeks, practical jokes, freezer pops, yelling at Bush when he makes speaches, Star Trek, sleeping on daddy's side of the bed, dressing up the dog, jumping off of high places, walking walls (any wall, or border, or curb), and movies.
10. She has the most sarcastic personality I've ever encountered, and let me tell you, in this family, that is an accomplishment!
11. Heartbutt! Monkey, Mimi, Miah bug, and Meemer.

124 days to go...and some train of thought meanderings...

Oye, it's been forever since I "blogged". I've been so busy. Jay came home for R&R, we went to Illinois for Laurel's Young scholars program (the CSI Program) went camping alone for 6 whole days, started yoga again, and got back to work. OOF.
I've been reading Rene's blog obsessivly, worried about the craziness that has been K's health, and outraged by the insensitivity of people. I wish I could find "anonomous" and show them how ignorant he/she is.
School started on the 6th. It's been interesting so far. Laurel has started 6th grade, and Miah is in 2nd. Two different schools this year, and until from now on. That is scary to me. I have always depended on Laurel to keep an eye out for Miah, but now that is out. Miah has already started to get tardies because she is so VERY easily distracted. The girls seem to be getting comfortable pretty quickly though. A few tiny complaints, but nothing I could fix anyway. I made sure to sign up for the PTO, and left my name with the teacher to volunteer with dances, and misc. things. Hopefully I'll get an opportunity to get involved with the new school, and get comfortable there. I look forward to it.
So, having Jay withdrawl. Some issues with the internet, and it's driving me crazy. We now (by Jay's chart) have about 124 days left in the deployment, give or take, depending on who is chosen to stay behind to take care of issues. Seems like Jay is always the last one home, and last off the plane, just to be funny. Since Jay waited to come home later, it seems like the last bit isn't that big of a deal. I have 11 months behind me, and when he came home it seemed like he never left. So, really, it's like we are starting a 4 month deployment, and that's nothing. We've done that before without even blinking.
What's really bugging me, is that I spent $20.00 on those "super awesome, 5 year" lightbulbs, and between my brother, and my husband, all the lightbulbs in the house were changed. Jay has been back in Iraq about 10 days, and already the kids room and the hallway are in complete and utter darkness. And the government is going to get rid of the old bulbs in favor of these????? Does anyone know why the bulbs might have burnt out prematurely? I'm not even thinking about buying those things again without some reasonable explanation. I don't have that kind of money!!!
New happenings: I am leaving the kiddos with mom, and taking off to Gatlinburg one weekend this month. I can't freaking wait. Sheila is going to make fun of me, but I'm bringing my yoga mat, and a stack of books. The only way I'm leaving the cabin is to go hiking, to tour the vehicle trails, and to buy the fudge mom requested as payment for babysitting. I am going to CHILL!!!
And, the ultimate practical joke, the reunion is this weekend, just a few days before my 29th birthday. I still don't feel that old. When does that kick in?
also, one more thing, that I am very proud of. I implimented a new household schedule. I know it's totally insane, and a little obsessive, but the kids have a time to do everything they are expected to do in a day, to include computer and tv time, chore time, bathtime and homework time. I've never really been able to stick to a schedule before, but this one is WORKING!!! As of right now, at 7:50 all of the chores are done, the homework completed, and the monkies are all clean. Dinner was right on time at 5 pm (early I know, but we go to bed semi-early) and the clothes are picked out for tomorrow. I am as happy as I can be. Now if only Jeremiah was here to enjoy it with me!
